Smith: Eubank 'too egotistical' to listen to new coach

For his September 2 rematch with Liam Smith at the AO Arena in Manchester, live on Sky Sports Box Office, Chris Eubank Jr. has hired Terence Crawford's trainer Brian McIntyre; nonetheless, Smith cautions: "He can have the best coaches in the world, I don't feel like it makes a difference."

They will battle again on September 2 at the AO Arena in Manchester, live on Sky Sports battle Office, and Liam Smith has warned Chris Eubank Jr that his new trainer won't be able to save him.

Following his victory against Errol Spence on Saturday, Eubank has now teamed up with Terence Crawford's trainer, Brian "BoMac" McIntyre, who is now widely considered as the best boxer in the world.

Despite being one of boxing's most successful trainers, Smith does not believe McIntyre will have much of an effect on Eubank Jr.

"Once more, Chris was Chris. in search of the names. Would Crawford have still selected BoMac if he hadn't won the weekend contest? Smith told Sky Sports News, "Perhaps not.

But I don't give much thought about who Chris brings. Terence Crawford, the best boxer in the world, may support Chris in addition to BoMac. That doesn't, in my opinion, help Chris. Chris is too self-centered to pay attention.

This week, Eubank Jr. told Sky Sports that he was "very excited" and "trusted these guys." They have a successful history. So I'm paying attention.

Smith, though, is unpersuaded. He stated, "I don't feel like it makes a difference whether he has the finest boxers in the world, the best coaches in the world in his corner.

In January, Smith surprised everyone by defeating Eubank in just four rounds. In order to defeat Smith in their rematch in September, the Brighton player will need to adopt a fresh strategy.

To be really honest, Smith admitted that he was just as curious as you and many other people to see what Chris could come up with this time around.

"Because he must arrive in a different way. The result is inevitable if he doesn't behave differently.

The Liverpudlian star, though, cannot accept loss.

Smith declared, "If he comes to fight with me, he's there to be caught."

He is fully aware of my ability to harm him instantly. I barely loaded up or did anything before firing the final shot that knocked him over. You better make me miss if he wants to come and stay in the firing line.

He made too many mistakes the previous time he attempted to box me.

"When I strip everything away, I don't think Chris beats me," the speaker said of Chris.
